We will be conducting a women's conference in Iganga, Uganda, second one there. The title of the conference there and also for the one in Naivasha, Kenya is "Women of Destiny for the 21st Century" and we will also be doing seminars on "Serving God and Your Family". This will be the fifth conference in Kenya.
In the last year we have started micro-finance in Kenya. About 120 women have been able to start their own business. We will start another 15 women soon. This has been a huge help to their lives. Some were HIV Positive, some were prostitutes, some were single moms. There is great joy in them as a result.
We are also doing feeding programs with orphans, poor children, and people living in tents as a result of the political fallout in Kenya in 2008. We are feeding about 1000 people a day each month.
For the last three years I have had a TV show that showed five times a week in 170 countries and on the internet. It has been one of the most challenging things I have ever done. Talk about stretching me!
Someone once said about me, "Adventure is in your bones" and they were so right!
I am a wife of 43 years, a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother (step-granddaughter). Life is good.
