Living in New York City

We have been living in New York City in a 600 square foot apartment for four years while maintaining our Texas residence too.  We love it!  We have steadily transitioned from a big house down, down, down as our kids have left home and our lives have changed.  I am learning little is simple, little is easier, little is liberating.

I am now finally ready to keep this blog going.  So many other things were more important and you have to pick your battles.  Glad I have finally been able to keep this up.

 I hope you get things from this blog that are like the rain drops on the blog page.  Fresh, watering your life, energizing.  You are meant for greatness.  I know that for sure.

Your life can get better and better or it can go backward.

How's your life going with all its joys, problems, and setbacks ?  What are you doing with all of those?  Some of the best advice I ever got was to always remain teachable and correctable.  I have tried to do that and I think that is why I seem to always be moving forward.  Sometimes you hate to hear it, but if you think about it, that is your best friend.  Otherwise, you stay the same.  Hence, "if you keep on doing what you have always done, you will keep on getting what you have always gotten".  So, Friends, let's keep a lookout for what is being said to us, ponder it, and make the necessary changes to move on up.

What An Amazing God We Serve!

My life in ministry really did not get started in my true call from God until my 60's. Have you ever read the story Jesus told in the Bible about the 5:00 people getting the same pay as the 9:00 people? That's me. Right now, right before Jesus comes back, I am working more than I ever have, with more energy than I have ever had, happier than I have ever been.

Ways to Know for Sure God Wants You to Do Something

1. VISION: What do You want done?

2. PURPOSE: What’s the point of it?

3. GOALS: How do we get there?

4. CREATIVE IDEAS: Things you would never think of naturally to do.

5. SHOW ME IN YOUR WORD-Confirm the call through something in the Bible.

The Impossible

When things seem impossible, all things are possible to him who believes.

Forgiving the Hard Things

Forgiving someone doesn't mean that what they did was ok, it means that you are releasing the pain of it from your life.

Jesus Sets a High Standard for Dealing with People

They said to Jesus, "Teacher, we know you have integrity, teach the way of God accurately, are indifferent to popular opinion, and don't pander to your students."

What a wonderful guide as you move through life. Think of the private peace that would bring.
